Agriculture is personal to me, it has been part of my life from the beginning with fond memories on equipment, watching irrigation rigs, and talking soil with my grandfather before I could read. Beyond the farm, through degrees in Agricultural Engineering at some of our nation's greatest universities, I gained practical experience beyond the potato, turfgrass, and ornamentals in New Jersey to the massive production agriculture in the Midwest, sugarcane in Florida, peanuts and cotton in the South East, and wheat out west.
Agriculture is so grand and yet so local, the stories and successes that each grower has are all so interesting to me and drive the passion for building great software serving growers first and last. When I think about this wonderful team that we have here at Agrible at the right time, in the right place, with the the right customers and the right technology, I see every day how important it is to make sure the future of agriculture is both sustainable for future generations and more profitable now for growers.
We understand the pressures of putting out a crop even if it may, at best, be a break even. In tough years like this, we look for ways to help you maximize yields with the weather cards you are dealt, while minimizing the impact on the land we all hope to pass on to our sons or daughters. We believe that field-level data belongs to the grower, and we believe that good decisions come from good forecasts, tempered with drive and experience. We are a global company headquartered in Champaign, Illinois - the heart of the heartland living and breathing agriculture. As we all reflect on Agriculture this day and our contributions large or small, be proud of the legacy we are collectively leaving by sharing your soil stories with young minds hopefully sparking their love of agriculture and the next wave of innovation.
