As a company who deals closely with agricultural data, we often get questions about our data and privacy policies. Our products are designed to do everything they can with the least amount of data possible. However, the more data growers include in their “My Farms” profile, the greater the accuracy. We believe growers own their own data, and any information a grower entrusts with us we keep locked away and never sell or share it.
Last year we shared a post describing our policies and commitment to data privacy. We wanted to double-down on that promise by joining a coalition on data privacy and security with other agricultural technology providers and grower organizations. As part of this project, we co-signed the Privacy And Security Principles For Farm Data letter, which can be found here.
We want to help growers focus on making the best decisions on their farms, not on whether or not their data is secure. We would love to hear your feedback. Please feel free to contact us and let us know if you have any questions about our data policy.
Here's our press release about joining the interim board of the coalition tackling data privacy and security in agriculture.
